This indicates that live probiotics are included. These seed the skin with beneficial microbial species that can colonise and multiply, actively shifting the skin’s microbiome in the right direction. Repairs barrier function. Firms and plumps. Binds collagen and elastin. Rectifies imbalances.
HOW IT WORKS
The Probiotic Serum slows ageing by improving moisture retention and reducing the rate of elastin and collagen degradation through the action of probiotic microbes.
1 billion cfu per ml probiotic Lactobacillus microbes.
This product does not contain prebiotics … the food source for probiotic bacteria. Full benefit from this product can be seen when used with products that contain inulin and α-glucan-oligosaccharides, such as Esse Plus Restorative Moisturiser, Esse Plus Defence Moisturiser or any of the Esse Omega Moisturisers. This formulation is water free. Probiotics are encysted, but alive and are activated on contact with water on the skin and the addition of prebiotics found in Esse Moisturisers.
Use once in the evenings for one week or until an improvement is seen.
Thereafter, reduce usage to every other day and then even further to 1 or 2 times a week for maintenance only. For a lighter application mix a small amount of serum with preferred moisturiser and smooth over face, neck and décolleté.
